On February 14, 2023, Gu Zhaohui, chief engineer of Henan Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd., and his team visited KAPSOM. Dong Weijia, executive deputy general manager of KAPSOM, received Mr. Gui and his party.
During the meeting, the two sides focused on the development prospects and future directions of green ammonia technology. Mr. Gu analyzed the form and status quo of new energy. He thinks zero-carbon industry is the direction of future energy development. In areas with abundant domestic wind resources, there are many application scenarios for small-scale distributed green ammonia devices with a production capacity of 3,000-5,000 tons per year. If there is national policy support in the later stage, the green ammonia plant with a production capacity of less than 10,000 tons per year can be built outside the chemical park, and its development speed and application range will be greatly improved.
Regarding the large-scale green ammonia projects currently planned and implemented in China, Mr. Gu pointed out that there are still many problems to be solved urgently, no matter in terms of current investment, post-operation or transformation of traditional coal chemical industry. He thinks that we could combine renewable energy with coal chemical industry, integrate green energy into the coal chemical production process, and use green hydrogen and carbon dioxide produced in industry to produce green methanol. We can also realize the coupling of green energy and coal chemical industry by using the by-product “green oxygen” in the process of hydrogen production by electrolysis of water, and optimize the industrial chain, so as to save energy and reduce costs. This move not only promotes the in-depth development and utilization of renewable energy, but also extends the carbon-free road of energy production and manufacturing.
During the visit to the skid-mounted plant, Mr. Gu affirmed the overall idea of the small skid-mounted ammonia plant developed by KAPSOM, and at the same time put forward many suggestions for equipment optimization. Through in-depth exchanges, the two sides have further improved the awareness of multi-scenario applications of distributed energy supply in the field of green chemical industry.
Distributed application scenarios are an important application direction of skid-mounted green ammonia plants. This exchange has benefited a lot. We look forward to more opportunities for cooperation and exchanges with Xinlianxin in the future development, and jointly help distributed green Ammonia application scenarios become a reality, protecting the ecology and benefiting the earth.
